Paige Fortner

Leah Sakacs
​Paige, born and raised in Columbiana County, is a dedicated nonprofit professional with a passion for community impact, policy, and education. With an undergraduate degree in Intercultural Studies/TESOL and a Master of Public Administration, she has worked in the nonprofit sector since 2018, gaining experience in program management, advocacy, and leadership.

Currently serving as a program manager for a nonprofit supporting low-income homebound seniors, Paige has played a key role in developing companionship-based programming to enhance the well-being of vulnerable populations. She also chairs the Foster Grandparents Advisory Board, co-chairs the National Philanthropy Day committee, and has been an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals since 2022. Her involvement extends to the Suicide Prevention Coalition of Columbiana County, the Alzheimer's Association - Walk to End Alzheimer’s committee, and the planning committee for homebound meal deliveries during Thanksgiving and Easter.

Committed to continuous improvement and capacity building, she is part of her organization’s Performance Quality and Improvement Committee.

Paige has also been recognized for her service to the community through awards such as the League of Women Voters of Greater Youngstown Women’s Hall of Fame Inductee and the Mahoning Valley Young Professionals 25 under 35 award.

She is passionate about sharing her expertise through workshops on topics such as burnout, compassion fatigue, and self-compassion in the workplace. With a strong foundation in nonprofit leadership and a passion for strategic impact, she aspires to use her experience to become a successful nonprofit consultant.

Outside of her professional work, Paige enjoys reading, yoga, and spending time with her husband, two cats, and dog.
Leah is a native of the Mahoning Valley who completed her undergraduate studies at Youngstown State University. While serving in the Air Force Reserves, she moved across the country to earn her MA in applied anthropology at California State University Long Beach (CSULB).
 
Since returning to the valley in 2016, Leah has worked in the nonprofit sector. She began her career in nonprofit by serving two-years as an AmeriCorps member with Habitat for Humanity of the Mahoning Valley. Today, she is the executive director of Sight for All United. Leah is also an active volunteer in the community and serves on several boards and committees, including: League of Women Voters of Greater Youngstown, Youngstown Lions Club, Association of Fundraising Professionals of Mahoning-Shenango Valleys, CFMV Fund for Women & Girls Guiding Circle, and Junior League of the Mahoning Valley.
 
She has also been recognized for her service to the community, including: CSULB President's Commission on the Status of Women Advancement of Women Award, Community Foundation of the Mahoning Valley Woman Warrior, and League of Women Voters of Greater Youngstown Women’s Hall of Fame Inductee.
 
In her free time, Leah values time spent with her friends and family, especially her nephews. She also enjoys biking, yoga, video games, and reading a good book. Her favorite movie is Star Wars.
